You can use the VMware Standalone Converter utility to connect to the ESXi server and convert the virtual machine into a Workstation format VM.

You can also connect to the ESXi server directly from the VMware Workstation UI. File > Connect to Server.

Then download the virtual machine to Workstation. VM > Manage > Download
