Re: Unable to run 64-bit guests

I haven't checked the logs for specifics but it's not allowing me to run 64-bit guests.

I just got the server for a steal to use at home and put new hard drives in, so it's a new installation of ESXi 5.1, not an upgrade.

This is my first time using ESXi, but I know there's an issue with 64-bit guests because I can't boot the server 2008 r2 setup image, or through the physical disc.

However a 32-bit 2008 went fine.

I'm wondering if it may have something to do with this though,

I may have to check the specific revision of my CPU's and possibly replace them, ughr. I bought this server specifically for vmware, it's a waste of hardware for me to use it for anything else. I really will have to suck it up and install windows on a spare drive to run the compatiblity check and see what CPU-z or something else reads for the revision
